Welcome to #NuggetsForDigest
NuggetsForDigest, as the name implies, is a three-part series of little pieces of useful national information brought to your door for awareness and evaluation.
It focuses mostly on political, governance, and social issues because they are the ones that have the most direct impact on our daily lives.
Each nugget’s objective is to refresh and often ends with question(s) to encourage your inner self to digest and get you involved in nation building. 🙏

The Nuggets
The news reported that, the Lands Minister, Abu Jinapor of saying that, the galamsey fight must rise above partisan politics.
My Take
Y3ti sika su was not just a political gimmick but also, a fuel into greed.
The only way to fight galamsey is not meetings but the personal attitude of truthfulness by persons in leadership.
If anyone is expecting any good from political parties to meet under a President who is in a dilemma whether a galamsey kingpin Aisha Huang is in town or not, then that person is also an illegal miner.
Lets stop singing and dancing to the music of rhetoric and be serious if indeed, galamsey is not the inference of what the infamous, ‘y3ti sika su’ means.
For the chiefs, the least said about them, the better for the gods of the land.
The Digest
Is there even a fight against galamsey in the first place?
Why can’t a legitimate government be seen to be seriously and sincerely fighting an illegal activity?
Have a galamsey-free Tuesday.
Nugget #1
Welcome to October with an advanced Happy Birthday wishes to the month born especially those on the 30th.
Of the 12 months on the calendar, I prefer October even to my birth month. Simply because, the breasts of October are what feed every birth on day one for which reason, the health of every breast matters.
As the pink colour takes over the month, so should awareness of cancer of the breast also occupy our thoughts.
Though President Nana Addo has been abysmal in the management of the economy as well as failed in the corruption and galamsey fight, I am hopeful that as a women’s advocate, he will do better in the fight against breast cancer by giving the campaign a national attention.
May the God of National Cathedral visit our women’s breasts including Aisha Huang and shield all of us from the bombs of Russia-Ukraine war which the President says, hit our pockets in Ghana and causing us economic hardship- not his government.
May October see you helping to save the life of the breast nearest to you.
